ABA Services

Full House Therapy’s fully comprehensive ABA services assists both children and adults with autism, as well as their families.

What Is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis – is one of a number of therapies available for people with autism. Programs are typically drawn up according to the client’s needs and involve intense one-on-one therapy, designed to teach language, communication and interpersonal skills to help children integrate into school and adults integrate into independence.

What can ABA help with?

Applied Behavior Analysis has a high success rate for children with autism and can improve:

  • Attending skills
  • Imitative skills
  • Fine motor and gross motor skills
  • Language skills
  • Conversation skills
  • Functional play
  • Functional skills/self-help skills
  • Social skills
  • Theory of Mind/Social Cognition
  • Toileting skills
  • Problem behaviors

In-House ABA

ABA therapy conducted directly in the client’s home environment uses NET (natural environment teaching) to maximize the rate of success in learning and recalling behavioral lessons. The home represents where a person is typically most comfortable, relaxed, and spends most of their time. This makes it easier to integrate lessons into everyday behavior where parents typically need it most, and where clients can obtain the most practice.

School Based Behavior Support

School can be present a particular challenge for children with autism. A group setting which requires long hours of sitting can be tough day after day. A behavior therapist can assist your child directly in the classroom to maximize learning and reduce problem behaviors as they arise.

Supported Employment Training

As children with autism grow into adults and finish school, entering the job market can present challenges in both obtaining employment and maintaining it. Extra support for employment training can make the difference between having and losing a job, and the independence that goes with it.
